Your skin is the largest organ of you body. I knew that and could quote it from a textbook perspective but never really gave it much practical thought. Funny how things change as you get older.
Your skin eats…or absorbs whatever you put on it. I had no idea that all of the perfumed lotions and sprays that I loved so much (I even had my own signature scent), and the cleaning prodcts that I never wore gloves with, all penetrated my skin and got into my blood stream causing who knows what kind of havoc in my body. What are you feeding your skin?

Try this unique version of carrot salad as a starter to your evening meal, but don’t save this recipe just for dinner—enjoy it for lunch or as a snack any time of day!
Adapted from a recipe created by World’s Healthiest Foods! A great site to visit!
Prep and Cook Time: 15 minutes
Ingredients:
* 2-3 medium carrots (2 cups peeled and shredded)
* ½ cup raisins
* ½ cup chopped fresh or canned pineapple
*1/4 cup chopped walnuts
* Dressing
* 2 TBS canned coconut milk or NF Yogurt, Vanilla or plain
* ½ TBS honey
* 1 tsp orange zest (optional)
* 1 TBS fresh lemon juice )or orange juice)
* 1 TBS extra virgin olive oil
* salt and white pepper to taste
Directions:
1. Blend all dressing ingredients together in blender adding olive oil a little at a time at end.
2. Shred carrots in food processor or use a hand grater, which will take a little more time. Depending on how big they are, it will take about 2 or 3 carrots. (Or buy them already shredded in a bag)
3. Mix carrots with raisins and pineapple, and toss with desired amount of dressing. Stir in nuts.

As a fitness trainer, I get a lot of questions regarding “What exercises are best for ______” fill in the blank.
Most women and many men share a common area of concern: The lower body; specifically the rear and thighs. No one can top Squats, Lunges and Deadlifts to train the lower body. But there are many variations of those exercises. Today I’m going to share my current favorite lower body exercise and all of its awesome variations. It’s called the Rear-Foot Elevated Lunge Variation (a.k.a. Bulgarian Split Squat). This exercise is so effective that you’ll pretty much make your body thunder-thigh proof once you master it!

1 Bag 12 oz. raw mixed mixed Asian Broccoli Slaw
1 T of any type of natural oil..Walnut, Sesame, Olive (Coconut will not work)
2 T Rice Vinegar (must be RICE vinegar)
2 packets of Truvia or Stevia (or less…to taste
1 T Lite Soy Sauce
small handful of nuts
4-6 ounces of baked chicken or turkey breast cut into bite sized pieces.
Mix well. Tastes even better after marinating in the fridge for a few hours.
1 large serving or several smaller.
